Where does Steve perform?

Steve Cantwell is based in Berkshire, but often travels up to 100 miles to perform for all sorts of different occasions. If you are in any doubt about whether your even is in his “zone”, give him a call and find out if he can help. Even if he is not able to get there, he may know another top magician who can.


How much does Steve charge?

That is a difficult one to answer as there are so many different types of event. The price can depend on the day of the week, the skills necessary and the time needed to devote to the event. A rule of thumb is that an evening's entertainment will start at about £300. However, Steve often works for much less if it is for charity or a type of event that he particularly enjoys. If in doubt, phone him and have a chat about your particular requirements. You may find that he is much more affordable than you thought!


Does Steve perform at children's parties?

Alas, no. Although he cut his magic teeth performing at literally hundreds of kids' shows, he decided to specialise in adults' magic some years ago. If you are stuck though, he may well be able to find a top-notch children's magician who can perform for you.


What's all this about lions?

Steve and Lou, his wife, decided a few years ago to help out at a fantastic horseback safari place in South Africa called Horseback Africa. They bought some lions which are used for their lion tours: tourists and locals come here to learn about lions and take them for a walk before playing with any young cubs which might also be there at the time. Steve and Lou now spend as much time as they can – usually about 6 weeks a year – at the place and they regard the wonderful people who run it as their second family. If you are thinking of going that way on holiday and would like to know more about where is worth going in Southern Africa give Steve a call.
